Arturo Heredia received his B.A. from UC, Berkeley, his M.A. from Northwestern University, and his Ph.D. from Stanford University.
He has taught at Northwestern U., and the University of the Pacific. He has offered classes in a wide variety of subjects including Popular Culture, Cultural Studies, Introduction to the Humanities, American Literature, and Ethnic literature. He is interested in rhetorical theory, especially in the interdisciplinary connections between classical rhetoric, philosophy, social thought, and literary theory and criticism. He is also interested in other kinds of rhetoric including film and classical music.
His most recent classes include "Ethnic Narratives and the Rhetoric of American Identity" and "The Rhetoric of American Multicultural Experience."
