Biography

Chris Kamrath is a Lecturer in the Program on Writing and Rhetoric. Chris has a PhD in Rhetoric and Public Culture from Northwestern University. He taught previously at Santa Clara University and the University of San Francisco.

Chris is currently working on a book manuscript entitled, Left Icons: Self-Fashioning and the Cultural Memory of American Radicals. His writing has appeared in Culture, Theory and Critique; Public Culture and several edited volumes. His scholarly interests include rhetorical invention; rhetorics of dissent in early twentieth-century US media; and public culture.
